A hyper text markup language (HTML) encoder is an application that is used to convert special characters into the HTML code that is needed to be read by an Internet browser. In general, special code for HTML is used to avoid misleading errors that involve the same symbols. An HTML encoder will have the special character inputted and convert it to the HTML version. For example, arrows are used by Internet browsers to do special task, so a special type of code, called an escape code, is used to make arrows. By typing into an HTML editor, the process of normal coding is automated, and a code for the browser is correctly written with the help of a built-in HTML encoder.
